Burnout Prevention & Recovery is a practical wellbeing course for people who feel stretched, depleted, permanently switched on or worried that their current pace is becoming unsustainable. It teaches participants to recognise warning signs earlier, understand total load, set capacity-based boundaries, make workload trade-offs visible, use realistic recovery and energy-management strategies, and build a personal plan for responding before strain becomes severe.

The course does not treat burnout as a personal weakness or a problem that can always be solved with self-care. Participants are encouraged to look at both sides of sustainability: what they can change personally and what may need to change in workload, expectations, systems, support or environment.

Across ten modules, the learner builds a Green–Amber–Red burnout dashboard, a total-load map, a boundary script, workload reset, recovery menu, energy audit, return-to-capacity ladder, support plan and final one-page Burnout Prevention & Recovery Plan.

Approximately 4 hours 40 minutes

Burnout Prevention & Recovery is an unaccredited educational wellbeing course. It provides general self-management and workplace wellbeing strategies and is not medical or psychological treatment. If exhaustion, mood changes, anxiety, sleep problems, concentration difficulties or other symptoms are severe, persistent, rapidly worsening, affecting basic functioning or creating safety concerns, seek appropriate professional support.

Course requirements

No previous wellbeing, mindfulness or stress-management training is required. This course is designed to be practical, beginner-friendly and completed at your own pace.

To get the most from the course, you will need:

  • A device with internet access to complete the lessons and quizzes.
  • Around 25–35 minutes available for most modules.
  • A notebook, notes app or the supplied worksheets for practical activities.
  • A willingness to reflect on your current workload, boundaries, energy and recovery patterns.
  • Time to trial small practical changes between modules.
  • An open approach to identifying both personal habits and environmental factors that may be contributing to overload.
  • A willingness to seek additional support where strain is persistent, severe or significantly affecting daily functioning.

Important: This is an unaccredited educational wellbeing course and is not a clinical treatment program. Burnout and prolonged stress can overlap with physical and mental health conditions. If symptoms are severe, persistent, worsening, affecting safety or significantly interfering with normal functioning, appropriate professional support should be considered.
